EKS
Designer Melissa Clark
EKS began as a love of textiles and refined textures. EKS is shortened from the greek word Ekstasis (from the Ancient Greek ἔκστασις "to be or stand outside oneself, a removal to elsewhere" from ek- "out," and stasis "a stand, or a standoff of forces.
EKS creates conceptual couture lingerie and accessories inspired by brutalist glamour, industrial decay, and the natural world.
In addition to designing, she is a community organizer and co-founder of Happyland Theater and New Orleans Independent Fashion.
